Rachel Stamp was formed 1994 when bassist and vocalist David Ryder-Prangley met up with guitarist Will Crewdson at a Vanessa Paradis show. The bands initial intention was to rid the world of drab musical conservatism. Impressed by their lofty ambitions Warner Bros soon offered Ryder-Prangley and co a deal.
